Applicants must satisfy a residence requirement. You must have lived in Ghana for an aggregate period of 6 years within an 8-year period. You must have lived in Ghana for a continuous period of one year at the time you are applying.

Right of Abode: This is a statutory right, free from immigration control. Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) or Settled Status: This is permission granted under immigration rules. Holders still remain subject to immigration law and can lose their status if they leave the UK for extended periods.

The Consulates of Ghana issue single entry visas that are valid for 90 days from the date of issuance. Travelers are advised to apply for a single entry visa no more than 30 days before the intended departure date. This will ensure that your visa will be valid for the longest duration possible.
