Residence Permit through Investment

Granted to foreign spouses and other foreigners who have lived in Ghana for more than five (5) years. Initial process starts with the Ghana Immigration Service (Headquarters) and report submitted to the Hon. Minister for the Interior for approval. Letter from Ghanaian spouse. As of early 2025, Ghana does not offer a direct citizenship-by-investment program, and any claims to the contrary should be approached with caution.

Residence by investment programs allow an applicant to obtain a permanent residency visa for a country by making an investment such as purchase of property or investment in a business. These programs are often known as "golden visas". The programs (on their own) do not allow the applicant to obtain citizenship.
