Choose the right application channel
Check whether your nationality needs an entry visa before selecting the online, consular or Croatian police route. Permission to remain while an application is pending depends on your entry and application circumstances. Do not assume that submitting a form extends a visitor stay.
Prepare documents and a household budget
Collect foreign remote-work evidence, passport, insurance covering Croatia, criminal-record documents, funds and a Croatian address. Documents must be in Croatian or English with authorised translations where required. Compare regular income with the separate savings options below; add family supplements and government/card charges.
Plan arrival and the end of your stay
Check the address-registration and biometric-card steps with the local police. A grant shorter than 18 months may qualify for an extension requested at least 60 days before expiry.
