Destination Thailand Visa (DTV): workcation
Thailand’s DTV has a workcation category for remote workers and freelancers, with separate family documentation. The Washington DC embassy lists five-year visa validity; that is not permission for an uninterrupted five-year stay or unrestricted Thai employment.
Income, funds or investment
Washington DC: USD 400 visa fee; workcation financial evidence of at least THB 500,000 (the page also lists USD 16,000) at each month-end over the last three months. Living, extension and family costs are separate.
Prepare passport/photo, current-location evidence, three months of qualifying bank statements, employment or professional-portfolio evidence, residence-status evidence and the current criminal-record clearance. Family applications need the principal holder’s DTV and relationship evidence. Non-US citizens and minors have additional checklists. Confirm passport validity and certification with the responsible Thai mission.
